My art show “Group Therapy”, shared with fellow artist Melissa Manzelmann, is on March 4th at Vaughn Art Agency & Gallery. A huge thank you goes to Julie Royce of Jolie Soiree for organizing the event!

“Jolie Soiree invites you to the Opening Reception of Group Therapy, featuring the bold and dynamic artwork of Melissa Manzelmann and Melanie Allison. These two incredible artists have created a beautiful body of work that will be presented on Saturday March 4th from 6-9pm at Vaughn Art Gallery.

Melissa Lynn is an Austin, TX based, emerging artist. She is self taught, mainly creating abstract paintings using acrylic on canvas. Through strong movement, heavy textures, and vibrant colors, Melissa expresses the power and beauty that feminine energy brings to the world. Rarely planning ahead, Melissa works in a structure-less setting, trusting her process and allowing the paintings to take on a life of their own.

Melanie's artwork represents the intersection of her modeling background with her love for animals and other favorites. Music, fashion, and pop culture are influences that are frequently referenced. She makes art to create selfawareness, invoke spirituality, and awaken your subconscious. The titles of her artwork come directly from the imagery or indirectly from the artwork’s hidden meaning or theme.

In addition to the artwork, the opening reception will include live music, a wine tasting, cocktails and so much more!”
