2022 GIRL FLOCK PARTY, ETC.
I can finally catch my breath since our SOLD OUT event, the 2022 Girl Flock Party, held on March 27th at The Cathedral in Austin. To quote my Instagram post: “Thank you to everyone that attended and to those that couldn’t make it - you were missed! I wish I had more time to visit with everyone. I noticed some folks came and gone - so my apologies if I didn’t get to talk or visit with you! So much fun and my eternal gratitude goes out to our donors, sponsors, volunteers, venue, vendors, and attendees. We appreciate your support and participation!”
2022 GIRL FLOCK PARTY SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: DRC DEVELOPMENT
This week we are highlighting DRC Development for their generous 2022 Girl Flock Party Gold Sponsorship at our annual event on March 27th.
Meet the owner, Dr. Caitlin Walker: “I've been in the business of empowering others for over a decade. As a dance instructor, physical therapist, health and wellness educator, and learning and development professional, my priority has been to help others reach their goals. I'm passionate about providing people and organizations the tools they need to become the best version of themselves they can be, and I'm working to make the world a kinder and more equitable place.”
2022 GIRL FLOCK PARTY SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: GATHER EVENT BOUTIQUE
This week we are highlighting Gather Event Boutique for their generous 2022 Girl Flock Party sponsorship. At Gather, they aim to provide items and experiences that will make your event unique, without the price tag that makes it out of reach. We thank them for their partnership, helping us achieve our goals in the community.
GFP MEMBER HIGHLIGHT: JACLYN of JAX BEAUTY BAR
GFP Member Spotlight: Meet Jaclyn Q., member of Girl Flock Party, former sponsor, and winner of our recent small business promo pack giveaway. She is the owner/hairstylist at JAX Beauty Bar in Georgetown, Texas.
2022 GIRL FLOCK PARTY SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: BLUE NORTHER
This week we are highlighting Blue Norther for their generous 2022 Girl Flock Party sponsorship. Born and bred in Austin, Texas, Blur Norther is a spiked seltzer brand that takes ingredients seriously. We thank them for their partnership, helping us achieve our goals in the community.
GFP HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER
After Thanksgiving, Girl Flock Party started fundraising for Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. Pet adoption soared during the pandemic, but now animal shelters are facing a new crisis. Pets are being returned or abandoned and shelters are overcrowded and short staffed. I couldn’t not help especially during the holiday season. So I made it a point to start doing charity and/or volunteer work within my networking group, Girl Flock Party.
GIRL FLOCK PARTY EVENTS, ETC.
This past weekend, we had our November Meetup at Rentsch Brewery in Georgetown, Texas. We had a fun time gathering in the reserved room off of the taproom. We had Happy Hour pricing on beer, the Rowdy Axe Co. was there, and we had a mini giveaway for those in attendance. Congrats to the winners and thank you to our sponsors, Flora Mesa and Lark and Owl Booksellers!
SPONSORSHIPS, ETC.
So it probably looks like not much is happening in the art world for me, but lo and behold, there is! This weekend, I dropped off my artwork at New Hope Realty Group in Cedar Park, TX. I am their featured artist through October. I have several prints and originals on display for purchase. I even left some of my free original artwork adult coloring pages that match what I have up in their office.
PARTY TIME, EXCELLENT
This past Saturday was the big day… the 2021 Girl Flock Pool Party! We had a small turnout, again to keep things safer with COVID, but it was still a great shindig. Friends, colleagues, and sponsors were invited to the private event. My mission with this is to celebrate friendship, creativity, & networking. I also showcase local, small, and woman-owned businesses.
MY NETWORKING EVENT IN THE MAKING
“My dream and goal is to make it open to the public. And maybe one day to have my own event venue. But today, I have to build momentum and relationships. I have to start small and somewhere. My mission now is to still celebrate friendship, girl power, promote small-local-woman owned businesses plus fellow creatives, and to network by building and fostering these relationships.”
